Emprendiendo nuevas rutas por Nepal, nos dirigimos hacía el Valle de Katmandú, para sin duda, visitar una de las mas hermosas ciudades de Nepal, Bhaktapur,la ciudad de los devotos.
Esta ciudad es Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco y antigua capital newarí de Nepal fue fundada en el siglo XII.
La ciudad está llena de templos, plazas impresionantes y dividida en barrios, cada barrio se articula entorno a una plaza donde hay un pozo y un altar religioso. Es sin duda una ciudad de carácter religioso, donde se hacen sacrificios animales casi a diario para la diosa Durga.
Pasear por sus calles, es como sentirse en un decorado mágico, su belleza es inigualable, es un lugar al que merece la pena visitar......

After Kathmandu we went back on our old city-tourist ways. We headed to the Kathmandu Valley to visit the city of Bhaktapur. It is one of the biggest Newar cities and the ancient capital of Nepal. To enter the old city center you need to pay (a lot!), although by entering through another gate the enter fee can bo omitted. The old town is a UNESCO WOrld Heritage Site- and from the second you enter the old town you understand why!The old, medieval streets with buildings in red brick with incerdible, sculptured wooden balconies and windows are something outstanding. Some of them are renewed, most are almost a ruin but still- the city is beautiful!It's just a pure pleasure to walk around and see the adorable buildings and people living their lives in their shadow, like living in such a place was nothing extraoridinary!
Szorcik: Po wędrówkach górskich przyszedł czas na szwędactwo miejskie. Zaczęliśmy od Doliny Kathmandu i dawnej stolicy kraju Bhaktapur, której stare miasto zostało wpisane na listę zabytków UNESCO. Centrum, do którego wstęp jest drogi (choć niezbyt pilnowany, więc z łatwością można się prześliznąć), jest niesamowite. My zakochaliśmy się od pierwszego wejrzenia w tych pięknych ceglanych średniowiecznych budynkach, położonych ciasno obok siebie i w których cieniu życie toczy się jakby bez świadomości niezwykłości tego miejsca. Drewniane balkony i zdobienia okien oraz dachów są pomysłowe i misternie wykończone, większość domów co prawda chyli się ku ruinie, ale najważniejsze zabytki- świątynie oraz budynki pałacowe są odrestaurowane. Ciekawscy mogą tu także odwiedzić małe manufaktury papieru czerpanego, z którego słynie to czarujące miasto.
