GOA...PANAJI!!

Uno de los lugares mas populares para visitar en India es la pequeña región de Goa, antigua colonia portuguesa.
Allí acabamos primero en su capital Panaji, para pasar dos noches descubriendo sus encantos. Esta situada en el estuario del río Mundavi  y su nombre significa "ciudad que nunca se inunda", pero es alucinante el aspecto a ciudad portuguesa, con sus adoquinados, sus bares, el color y construcción de sus casas o las innumerables iglesias que hay, destacando sobre todas la Virgen de la Inmaculada Concepción en la Praça da igreja......aún quedan muchos letreros en portugués, y gente que lo habla en sus calles.....

Panaji is the capital of Indias smallest state Goa. It is a harbor and an old portugese colony. Panaji or Panajim (portuguese) is a small town (65.000 citizens) where the protugese influence is still very visible- not only in the architechture but also in the life attitude of the people- often we had the feeling that we are ratjer in the carribean than in India. It's most imortant touristic site is the barroque Church of the Virgin de la Inmaculada Concepción.

From the nearest beach Miramar, we took a boat to see the old portugese fort Aguada and meet the dolphins, that often play at the seashores, but our best memory from here would be meeting with Girish, a local that told us so much about the history of the place, gave some travel advices and simply made our stay here pleasant.

Szorcik: Dwa dni spędziliśmy w Panaji, stolicy najmniejszego indyjskiego stanu Goa. Miasto jest niewielkie ale urocze. Bardzo widoczne są tu wpływy portugalskie, gdyż przez kilka stuleci Goa pozostawało kolonią portugalską. Nie tylko kolonialne budynki wskazują na nie tak odległą w czasie obecność Portugalczyków, również rytm życia, zachowanie mieszkańców oraz większość szyldów sklepowych i nazwisk sprawia, że będąc tu kieliśmy wrażenie, że jesteśmy raczej na jednej z karaibskich wysp niż w Indiach.

Z najbliższej miastu plaży, Miramar, popłynęliśmy w krótki rejs aby zobaczyć dawny portugalski fort- Aguada oraz podziwiać liczne w tych wodach delfiny, które niestety są szybsze niż mój refleks fotografa i nie udało mi się uwiecznić naszego spotkania na zdjęciu:/
