ALLEPPEY / ALLPUZHA.

Por fin estábamos en el increíble estado de Kerala, y concretamente en Alleppey, la Venecia del este , debido a su particular ubicación entre remansos, lagos, canales, lagunas increíbles e incluso el Océano.

La ciudad era en si, como casi todas la de India puro tráfico y hermoso caos , pero tenía la peculiaridad de poder descubrir su lado mas hermoso , su lado acuático, y no dudamos en hacerlo en una de las innumerables barcazas que cubren los mas hermosos rincones de este apasionante rincón de Kerala.

Allaphuza also known as Alleppey is known for the beautiful backwaters. Mosty the houseboats attract the tourists. You can rent a boat for yourself and live on it as in an luxury hotel. For us, the nature was what counted. The channels that lead to the Punnamada Lake are called the Venice of the East. We have rented a small local boat for a few hours. We sailed both through the channels and on the huge lake, that looks almost like a sea- you cannot see the land on the horizon. What was very interesting for us, was how the people live near to the water. Almost everything in their lives is connected with water... they spend their whole days at the lake shores or in their boats. They cook, wash themselves and use the water for communication.

Szorcik: Nasz najbardziej wysunięty na południe przystanek to Alleppey zwane także Allaphuza. Miejsce to, położone na rozlewiskach, nazywane jest Wenecją Wschodu, ze względu na mnogość małych i większych kanałów. Ludzie mieszkają tu na łodziach-domach. Łodzie takie- pięknie odremontowane, można oczywiście wypożyczyć na rejs z noclegiem. My zadowoliliśmy się lokalną łódką i kilkugodzinną wycieczką po rozlewisku oraz ogromnym jeziorze Punnamada. Spędziliśmy cudowny dzień podziwiając piękną nadwodną florę i faunę oraz codzienność mieszkańców, którzy całe swe życie związali z wodą- tu łowią ryby i przygotowują jedzenie, myją, piorą, po wodzie przemieszczają się i na wodzie mieszkają.
