PENANG - GEORGETOWN Y EL ARTE URBANO.

No podíamos irnos de Malasia Peninsular si visitar esta perla artística, y digo artística porque esta ciudad está repleta de rincones con obras de arte.
Llegamos vía bus mas ferry y enseguida sentimos el calor de una ciudad acogedora, sus calles transitadas por gentes sonrientes nos hacían presagiar una buena estadía. Sobre todo si uno se aloja en la "Love Lane"/calle del amor.....
Georgetown destaca a parte de por su tranquilidad, su arquitectura y de estar bañada por el mar, de poseer una ruta callejera repleta de arte urbano que alegran el día a cualquiera, puedes pasar horas buscando esas obras de arte urbano por los rincones y muros de la ciudad.
A parte Gergetown es de esas ciudades donde el ritmo isleño se nota, todo es mas relajado y eso también lo buscábamos,queríamos pasar un par de días de paseos tranquilos, comidas sabrosas y solecito.

Penang- the pearl of orient is an island and a small malaysian state at the same time. Penang means the island of the areca palm. We got here by bus and then took the early morning ferry from Butterworth to islands capital Georgetown.

The city is adorable. Full of art and small streets filled with cheap restaurants. We found aour hotel at the street called Lovers Lane:) 

Discovering the city is a constant adventure. Apart from the chinese/ colonial architecture, there is art everywhere. The history of the city and of the several older districts is written down on metal structures all around the old town. And then there are beautiful graffittis everywhere!

Szorcik: Perła orientu, Penang to wyspa i zarazem jedna z mniejszych prowincji Malezji. Stolica wyspy, Georgetown, jest  po prostu urocza. Od razu trafiliśmy tu (przypadkiem) do hotelu przy Ulicy Zakochanych! Małe uliczki i kolonialna oraz chińska architektura, tysiące małych tanich restauracji i kafejek to tylko niektóre z atutów miasta. Historia Gorgetown opisana została na metalowych strukturach- płaskorzeźbach przymocowanych do murów w różnych częściach miasta, więc zwiedzanie to prawdziwa przygoda- poszukiwanie historii...

A w czasie wędrówki małymi uliczkami mamy duże szanse natknąć się na kolejną z atrakcji Georgetown- sztukę uliczną, całe ściany pokryte graffitti, muralami oraz naprawdę dobrej jakości malowidłami. Czysta przyjemność.
