BAKO NATIONAL PARK....MONOS NARIGUDOS Y MAS...

INCREÍBLE, la fauna que pudimos contemplar en este Parque Nacional, fueron dos días de continuas emociones mientras recorríamos los senderos de las selvas y litorales.
Lo mas apasionante fue ver los MONOS NARIGUDOS, los proboscis monkeys, vimos individuos solitarios y varias familias, sobre todo al amanecer y al atardecer. Yo los miraba anonadado, observaba sus rostros creyendo que eran humanos, sus gestos, su comunicación y su forma de alimentarse me tenían entregado,¡que hermoso!, que regalo de la naturaleza.
Pero vimos muchos mas animales, como los siempre presentes Macacos, Monos Planteados, Cerdos salvajes de Borneo( que no nos dejaron dormir en toda la noche),gran variedad de lagartos y lagartijas, alguna serpiente , ranas, tortugas, cocodrilos, infinidad de aves como los conocidos KingFisher e innumerables insectos.........fueron dos días de hermosos encuentros con la fauna de Bako National Park.

silvered leaf monkeys

Here are some of the stars of our visit to Bako National Park: the already mentioned Bearded Wild Pigs were everywhere - even at the beach for the sunset... aren't they romantic? (ok... not when they make noise at night). The same thing we could say about the makak monkeys- they were everywhere, but these small smart ones are mean enough to steel peoples food (we saw that, funny- if it's not your own food:))
The green snake attacked a lizard just in front of us. Crocodiles were far away on the shore, but still scaring the pants off us.
There was plenty of insects, lizards, frogs, spiders and other "ugly" animals (I admit- I'm not their biggest fan!). In the night we got to see fluorescent mushrooms.
We even saw the silvered leaf monkeys.... but the proboscis monkeys totally stole the show! The legend says, that these are men, who did something really bad to the rest of the society... as a punishment they got a penis instead a nose, so they had to hide in the forrest out of shame... Well, for banned people they are pretty well humoured. It was so funny to watch them, especially the long noses, when they move while they are eating. Crazy what the nature can come up with!

Oto kilka zwierzaków, które widzieliśmy w parku Bako (te, które dały się sfotografować).
Oprócz świń brodaczy, które spotkać można było wszędzie, nawet na plaży podczas zachodu słońca. To samo tyczy się makaków, które były na tyle bezczelne, że kradły ludziom jedzenie prosto sprzed nosa. Zielony wąż zaatakował jaszczurkę na naszych oczach. Krokodyle, mimo że daleko i tak straszyły swą obecnością. Nie zabrakło żab, jaszczurek, pająków i różnych insektów... które do moich ulubieńców nie należą, ale i tak są fascynujące! Podczas nocnego spaceru znaleźliśmy fluorescencyjne grzyby- do tej pory myślałam, że były one wymysłem wyobraźni hipisów po lsd :)
Wysoko w koronach drzew udało nam sią dojrzeć lutungi. Gwiazdami naszego pobytu były jednak małpy nosacze. Legenda mówi, że są to ludzi, którzy popełnili czyny tak straszne, że za karę zamieniono im nosy w penisy. Ze wstydu musieli oni się schować w lesie. Jak na wygnańców społeczeństwa nosacze sprawiają jednak przesympatyczne wrażenie!
