DEVIKULAM..

El viaje tomaba rumbo hacía las alturas de Munnar en donde las plantaciones de Té inundan todo. 

El primer día decidimos explorar a pie la zona de Devikulam a 1800 metros de altitud, en un paisaje que quedará grabado en mi memoria de por vida.

Recorrimos unos 8km por las sendas que dejan los cultivos de Té y que crean un paisaje de dibujos animados, un paisaje singular, un paisaje donde la mirada se pierde entre picos de montañas y setos de la maravillosa planta del té.

Las sonrisas de las mujeres que cortaban las hojas de té o de los hombres que trasportaban a los jornaleros en los jeeps con las banderas comunistas de la hoz y el martillo en todo lo alto no hacían mas que provocarme una inmensa sensación de felicidad.....y algún que otro recuerdo a mis queridas viñas francesas....

Munnar is small city in Kerala state, situated about 1600m over the sea level. It is located in a valley between three rivers. The city is mostly known for the tea plantations, which influence the life of the citizens of the region. India is worlds largest tea producer and in Munnar you can see this all around you. The whole hilla station is covered by the green tea trees. The Kannan Devan tea brand is beeing made here.

On our first day we went for a long walk (about 8 km one-way) around the tea plantations in the small village of Devikulam, near Munnar. Actually our goal was a mountain lake, but the access to it was highly restricted, so we had to finish our trip just few houndred meter before arriving to the lake. The whole trip was a big success though... and full of emotions- because the views like these make you wanna cry the happy tears. These were one of the most incredible, amazing, breathtaking, divine views that my eyes ever had witnessed... The combination of the fresh green color of the tea, the perfectly blue sky and the mighty mountains... and the slight smell of tea in the air. Simply perfection.

Szorcik: Munnar to położone na wysokości 1600 m npm miasteczko w stanie Kerala. Znane jest przede wszystkim z produkcji herbaty. Same Indie są największym światowym producentem tego napoju, a w okolicy Munnar można się o tym przekonać na własne oczy. Całe zbocza górskie pokryte są gęsto krępymi krzewami herbacianymi. Na grubych krępych trzonach gęsto wyrastają jaskrawozielone, młode liście. W powietrzu unosi się delikatny herbaciany aromat. Soczysta zieleń herbaty idealnie komponuje się z błękitem nieba i szarymi skałami górskich zboczy.

Celem naszej pieszej wędrówki pierwszego dnia było jedno z wysoko położonych górskich jezior w okolicy wioski Devikulam. Szybko okazało się, że dostęp do jeziora jest ograniczony... jednak o jeziorze szybko udało nam się zapomnieć dzięki niezapomnianym widokom. Rzadko kiedy miałam tak idealne piękno blisko, na wyciągnięcie ręki... a i tak rozglądając się wokół siebie nie mogłam uwierzyć, że tam jestem... że to nie malowana ręką zdolnego malarza scenografia bajki dla dzieci.
