Taiwán o República de China, NO confundirse con República Popular de China fue durante una semana un lugar que nos permitió descubrir muchas cosas.
Aun hoy se vive con una situación peculiar en lo político, debido a su reciente historia. Tanto por las décadas de ocupación japonesa como por la conocida historia que llevó tras la guerra civil en China a retirarse en la isla al gobierno nacionalista de la época, derrotado por los comunistas en la China continental y que hasta nuestros días tantos conflictos de intereses han persistido en la isla y en su relación política con la actual República Popular de China.
Pero en fin, en nuestras vivencias en Taiwán y sobre todo en Taipei solo podemos destacar la enorme simpatía de la gente y sobre todo la enorme gratitud a Yi Lan-Wang y su marido Tom que nos ofrecieron tanta hospitalidad y buenos momentos en los días que compartimos juntos.
Taiwán siempre tendrá para mi el sabor a té que Tom siempre nos preparaba y con el que constantemente nos agasajo y tendrá el color brillante y hermoso de la infatigable sonrisa de Yi Lan, sus rostros y su compañía forman en si el gran recuerdo de estos días.
Sin embargo esta isla nos ha ofrecido de nuevo paisajes alucinantes, colores por doquier, sabores nuevos y la alegría constante de seguir viviendo el sueño de que toda destinación es alcanzable.
Aquí en esta tierra pusimos punto y final a nuestros días en Asia y en esta parte del Mundo, un hecho que de por si marca para siempre nuestro paso por aquí.
Taiwan was our last asian stop, and we couldn't have found a better place to say goodbye to the continent. Taiwan is a perfect mix between the modern hi-tech with the traditional Asia.
Taiwan is officially called the Republic of China. Most of it's inhabitants are of chinese origin and the chinese influence is visible everywhere. We only stayed a few days in Taiwan and only visited Taipei and surroundings, but it gave us a glimpse of the country and it's people and left us craving more taiwanese experiences!
Nasze pożegnanie z Azją miało miejsce w Tajwanie- jak się okazało najlepszym do tego miejscu. Tu tradycja spotyka nowoczesność, egoztyczne zwyczje łączą się z ideami globalnej wioski- znane przeplata się z nieznanym. W Republice Chińskiej (to oficjalna nazwa Tajwanu) spędziliśmy zdecydowanie za mało czasu, poruszając się po mały m skrawku wyspy, wokół Tajpei, mimo to udało nam się wychwycić atmosferę miejsca, intensywnie i na szybko poznać,posmakować i poczuć jak najwięcej.
FOOD/ JEDZENIE/ COMIDA
Taiwan is food madness. Colours, textures, smells, savours... all intense, new and interesting. Street food is rather affordable, which made our taste buds happy- we were trying out new stuff like crazy!
Vegan is possible- buddhist/ all veggie/ temple restaurants are quite popular, and "normal " stands usually offer food that is/can be made vegan. Taiwan was a real food- paradise!
Tajwan to smakowe szaleństwo. Wszystkie kolory tęczy, nieznane tekstury, ostre zapachy, intensywne smaki- nasze kubki smakowe oszalały, na szczęście jedzenie uliczne nie jest przesadnie drogie, więc mogliśmy kulinarnie zaszaleć.
Nietrudno było też o wegańskie przymaki- roślinnych/ świątynnych restauracji jest tu całkiem sporo, a uliczne stoiska w większości mają roślinne opcje (choć czasem trzeba pomóc sprzedawcom w stworzeniu wege-posiłku).
SLEEP/ SPANIE/DORMIR
We've spent only one night at a hostel in Ximending- ok price, european standard, otherwise we got spoiled at Yi- Lans place.
Oprócz jednej nocy spędzonej w hostelu w Ximending (nie za drogo i wygodnie), cały nasz pobyt upłynął pod znakiem gościnności Yi-Lan.
TRANSPORT
Easy, on time well organised and not so expensive. Podróżowanie po Taipei i okolicach?:Łatwo, szybko i przyjemnie i w dodatku niedrogo.
