TOURS.....

Emprendíamos  un viaje hacía el "Jardín de Francia" , que es como llaman a esa impresionante zona del valle del LOIRE!!!!....una de las áreas mas bonitas de Francia, por sus Castillos-Les Châteaux de la Loire, por sus impresionantes jardines y por sus viñedos.
Tours , ciudad Patrimonio de la Humanidad, fue una importante ciudad ya desde tiempos de los Galos, pues aquí se instalaron los Turones a orillas del Loire.
Además cabe destacar que Tours llegó a ser capital de Francia en la época de Luis XI , en el Renacimiento es cuando entorno a Tours y el Loire se construirán la inmensa mayoría de los Castillos que perduran y dotan de una belleza sin igual a esta hermosa región, conocida también por el perfeccionamiento del habla de la lengua francesa.....

We already know a bit of our part of France and really wanted to see a bit of the north. The long may weekend was a perfect occasion to go north. Our first stop was in Tours, the capital of the Indre-et-Loire department. The city’s cathedral (and the huuge Lebanon Cedar and the castle behind) is pretty impressive. But the real heart is in the small medieval streets and it’s small squares with wooden houses with black tiling.

Szorcik : W długi majowy weekend (tu 8-12 maja) udało nam się wreszcie zwiedzić nieco odleglejsze rejony Francji. Nasza wycieczkę na północ zaczęliśmy od Tours.  Najciekawsza jest jest olbrzymia katedra z jeszcze chyba okazalszym cedrem libańskim w dziedzińcu. Natomiast dusza tego miasta są średniowieczne wąskie uliczki z drewnianymi domami pokrytymi w większości czarna dachówką.
