Hector´s new friends |
After the five long days of hard work, last friday we finally had our first weekend off... a long weekend- because of heavy rain we had 4 days of vacations- and we used those to go to Bordeaux. The first night after our arrival we intented to stay up longer and tell everybody how we are doing... but after few beers we just litteraly died in the couch, without any power to move or speak or do anything....
The next day tough, after relaxing a little bit more, we went to an opening of a new green route outside of Bordeaux. The opening party took place in a huge park area at the riverside. The park was filled with stands with a lot of attractions, you could fx see some arcitectional projects, new computer programmes that are built to read the watermovements like these were music, you could see your future in the watermirror, take a look inside a New Age fully ecological summerhouse or take a conoe ride at the Garonne togheter with some local peots who performed their pieces live.... A lot of things to do!!!but the biggest attraction for us seemed to bee the cheap and tasty thai food from the open air kitchen.... heheheheeee... that was a real hit!!!!Unfortunatelly, coused by the darkness and rain, the pics are very bad: to bad to be published...
The rest of the weekend we spent on watching movies in french with Cecile, learning french and taking walks around Bordeaux... Hector made some new friends in a french kindergarden, because he helped them find their long lost toy:) We also finally got to see the bothanical garden from inside.. and even tough small, its soo nice. You can see all the plants from very close (hehehe it´s such a fun to watch the world trough the magnifying glass...the other visitors didn´t seem so fascinated by the glass, but we took a long while- taking funny pictures of each other:)). The last day, the girls from the camping came to pay us a visit in Bordeaux- because staying at the camping when its raining is not fun...
And so, after 4 days of doing nothing we were yearning to hear th chateau call us for work! And finally at wednesday we started again!!!!
