Libourne/St.Emilion

Libourne

yeah.... we take a bottle from 1952:)

Our trip started in Libourne, a typical town of Gironde region... We took a short walk in the center, took a look at the marked and than continued the travel direction St. Emilion, a beautifull medieval town which i personally fell in love with!!!!All the small romatic streets are soooo pretty, that i couldn't stop taking pictures!!!!I run around like crazy japaneese paparazzi:)
The of St.Emilion is on the UNESCO heritage list. The gothic cathedrals and houses, perfectly conserved by the time... are built between and on the romanic ruins... the history of the town goes back to the monk St. Emilien, that came here in the 8th century, and the oldest buildings are from the 9th century!!!!The town was built on two small moutains..which gives you the possibility to see the whole neighborhood. All around the town you can see an ocean of vineyards, because St.Emilion is also known for its wines... Most of the shops in the center are vineshops, where you also can try the wines...and we couldn't say no to the temptation...and both 3 bottles of wine:) And it was a really, really, reaaaaaallllyyyyy nice wine...:)
