SAC BE Y CENOTES.

Siempre siento gratitud cuando alguien me hace descubrir algún lugar fascinante. Pero hay a veces que el lugar es mas que fascinante, entonces la gratitud se queda pequeña....eso fue lo que sentí cuando mi amiga Nahikari y Abril nos llevaron junto a otras amigas a suyas a descubrir algunas de las entrañas de Sac Be. No contaré mucho de Sac Be, para mantener su esencia y su magia libre de pecados. Pero aquel lugar, habitado de una forma sostenible y ecológica , es sin duda un oasis de vida y belleza. Nahikari y Abril que habitaron allí en tiempos pasados, tuvieron la gentileza de mostrarnos algunos rincones y cenotes increíbles de los cuales disfrutamos como enanos. El lugar era mágico, los cenotes apabullantes y el entorno abrumador. Uno no tenía mas que remedio que disfrutar ante tamaño regalo. Ademas en los sucesivos días visitamos algunos cenotes mas junto a Nahikari, como el cenote azul, mientras compartimos baños, pickniks o historietas. Esta zona de la península del Yucatán esta abarrotada de cenotes, que son producto de la acción del agua de lluvia que ha disuelto la roca caliza, formando cavernas karsticas que con el tiempo se desploman. Por lo tanto según su época de formación podemos encontrar a cielo abierto, semiabiertas o subterráneas, pero todas ellas dignas de belleza. Visitar esta zona de México, implica por obligación visitar algún cenote, disfrutar de sus aguas cristalinas y sobre todo agradecer a la naturaleza regalos tan majestuosos como estos.

The whole region of Yucatan is full of cenotes- natural pits in limestone that expose groundwater created by the collapse of bedrock. They make amazing natural swimmingpools and are usually- often a whole labirynth of underwater caves and channels. As ecosystems they are very voulnerable so the growing tourism in this part of Mexico starts to be a bigger danger  lately.
Monay of the big once are also crowded and...expensive. Luckily we had our guides: Nahikari and April:)
First we visited a sustainable community outside of Playa called Sac Be. Its a big prive property with collective houses hidden in the forest and between the trees and beautiful houses there are many smaller and bigger cenotes, which we explored in a bigger group. There was swimming, pick nick, board games, laughs and a beautiful sunset watched from a rooftop.
The other cenote where we´ve spent a whole day was Cenote Azul. The beautiful clear water was just perfectly cool and jumps from a high rock into the deep natural swimming pool were the coolest!

Region Jukatanu podiurawiony jest przez cenote, czyli naturalne studnie krasowe powstale w skale wapiennej. To prawdziwy labirynt podziemnych korytarzy, kanalow i jaskin. Czasem wody gruntowe sa odkryte i tworza naturalne baseny.
Niestety ekosystem cenotes jest bardzo wrazliwy a wzmozony ruch turystyczny zaczyna powaznie zagrazac naturalnej rownowadze flory i fauny.
Nasze przygody z cenotes zaczelismy od calodniowej wyprawy do Sac Be, czyli samowystarczalnej spolecznosci na obrzezach Playa del Carmen. Na rozleglym prywatnym terenie w srodku puszczy znajduje sie tu kilkadziesiat ekologicznych domow zamieszkalych przez artystow i ekologow, a pomiedzy nimi w czesto niepozornych dziurach w skalnym podlozu kryja sie gigantyczne jaskinie, podziemne jeziora i rzeki. W Sac Be bylismy z cala grupa znajomych a dzien, pomiedzy kapielami w chlodnej wodzie uplynal nam na piknikach, grach planszowych i cudownym spektaklu swiatla jakie zgotowalo nam zachodzace slonce.
Innym razem spedzilismy leniwa niedziele w Cenote Azul, gdzie glowna atrakcja oprocz krystalicznie czystej, orzezwiajaco chlodnej wody byly skoki ze skal prosto do naturalnego basenu.
