MEZE-BEZIERS-AGDE-MINERVOIS.

Then we went to Beziers. The plan was to spend the night there, so we left the car parked in a safe place and went on an evening walk … and realized that although Beziers is a really pretty town… Saturday evening it is a ghost town. All the pretty streets with romantic lights hanging over your head were totally empty!!! So, after a small talk with people we (finally) found there, and a rapid sightseeing we went to a very popular beach town: Cap d’Agde.  It was introduced to us as the real party town of the area…. Well it wasn’t. It is a mix of Marbella with Nerja (sorry Hector- but it really is like Nerja). In the big harbor you have thousands of yachts- also the big luxury ones. Because people in France usually spend their nights in big fancy discotheques, already at 2 am there was no one at the street and al the beer bars were closing. Well Cape d ‘Agde is a pretty spot (maybe to new and modern, but still pretty) but it’s definitely not the place we will come back to in first order… SO after short morning bath (brrrrr….) at the volcanic beach we left direction home. But as usual we had to make some stops on the way.  That is why we drank our morning coffee looking at the Saint Etienne Cathedral.
With a small stop close to the cute, tiny, colourfull village of Poilhes, we moved back in time to the roman times. Oppidum d'Ensérune was in the last centuries BC a lively  ancient hill-town, placed cloce to the roman road Via Domitia. Now, besides the ruins of the town, you have still a nice view over the swamp of Montady, which now is a roundshaped field, with special irrigation systems- the view gives you a cosmic experience (were the aliens here?hihi)
Our last stop on the weekend trip was Minerve, a beautiful Cather town places in the middle of a rocky canyon on a huge rock, with caves under it and beautiful hills surrounding. WOOW! The impression is unbelievable. And I really understand why people call it one of the «The Most Beautiful Villages Of France" Les Plus Beaux Villages de France.

Niedzielna kawa o poranku wypilismy z widokiem na katedre w Agde. Potem krotka wizyta archeologiczba na romanskich ruinach. Nastepnie ruszylismy do Minerve- jednej z najbardziej malowniczych miejscowosci Francji. Minerva zostala zalozona przez Katarow. Jest polozona w kanionie, na skalach. Pod miastem znajduja sie olbrzymie jaskinie a mokol rozciaga sie widok na wapienne wzgorza. Niesamowite….
